Hello,
I'd like to transfer all of my old 8mm video's to digital on my PC. I've done some research and several sites recommend using a Digital8 camcorder that will play older analog 8mm videos and have iLink (Firewire) output. They say the results are better than using the USB Video capture devices.
I've searched for Digital8 camcorders on eBay and the decent ones are running a couple hundred dollars. I was wondering if anyone had a Digital8 camcorder that I could borrow for a few days to try it out.
If it works well with my PC, I'd be willing to convert some of their home movies in exchange for helping me out. If anyone has experience with this, especially if they have a better method, please let me know, jcanninvt@gmail.com.
