First you have to register
Register here with a
username and your real name. You will receive an email asking to confirm your registration (to prevent someone else registering you). Administrators will be notified of your registration and will enable access after receiving your confirmation.

Posting a message
You can post a message to one of the specific message boards or to the general Yahoo mailing list.

The title of your board message will be displayed in the left column of the TTO front page until there are five more recent messages.

A message to the Yahoo list goes directly to the email box of subscribers but first you have to open a Yahoo account and subscribe separately to the mailing list for Jericho and Underhill. See instructions.

Sharing photos
Check whether your photo fits in an existing album. Otherwise, upload your photo to the album "Any photo"

Announcing events
To announce a public event on the J&U calendar, send the information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you intend to announce events more frequently, we can give you direct access to the J&U calendar or include the Google calendar of your organization in the list of embedded calendars.

Adding an entry to a directory
To add a business, group or service, go to Directories/Add entry/Edit & Select the appropriate category, Save.
If your entry does not fit in an existing category, ask This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to create a new category.

Netiquette

  • In the spirit of community engagement, consider to sign your messages and e-mails with your full name if your name is not readily identifiable from your user name.
  • Browse earlier messages to see what people have posted in the past. Don't hesitate to post a new topic. Occasional business advertisements are welcome as well as entertaining pieces (i.e., something that happened in town the other day).
  • State the topic of your message in the subject line.
  • Include only the relevant portions of the original message in your reply, delete any header information, and put your response before the original posting.
  • Be aware that online humor and sarcasm are easily misunderstood.
  • Do not say online what you would not say face-to-face.
  • Write clearly and to the point. Many readers tend to skip long messages.
  • Make sure you send a response to an individual users only to the intended individual. When many can benefit from your response, send your message to the entire list.
  • Every now and then, delete your old messages that are no longer relevant. Only the author of a message and moderators can delete messages.

The following types of posts will be subject to discipline:

  • Profane language
  • Personal attacks on a person and/or group of people
  • Posts which intimidate others or stifle debate
  • Posts which are intentionally deceiving.

A TTO board member will act as moderator and enforce the rules.

  • One violation will result in a warning.
  • A second violation will result in a suspension from the list for one week.
  • A third violation will result in permanent removal from the list.
